CHICAGO, Aug. 24, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Cars.com put the current lineup of midsize pickup trucks to the test in its Midsize Pickup Truck Challenge to determine the overall best option for buyers. Contenders included the 2016 Chevrolet Colorado, 2016 GMC Canyon, 2017 Honda Ridgeline, 2016 Nissan Frontier and the 2016 Toyota Tacoma. After extensive testing, the 2016 GMC Canyon has been named the Best Midsize Pickup Truck of 2016.

Testing included head-to-head comparisons in 18 objective categories and resulted in the following ranking:

- 2016 Nissan Frontier
